Gold Rush Remake Plan

Remaking the Shoe Eating scene (14:58 - 17:30) when Chaplin cooks his shoe and eats it.

Group: Sam, Declan, Holly, Marcus, Me

Cast: Chaplin - George Cooke: Good actor, looks similar to Chaplin
         Big Jim - Marcus Bale: Good actor, looks similar to Big Jim

Costume: Most of the costume will be provided by the actors or group members

                Suit, waistcoat, tie - for George 
                Long sleeve shirt, trousers, winter boots - for Marcus

Props: Old black shoe 
           Edible shoe - made out of  liquorice and strawberry laces for the laces so they can be eaten
           Plates
           Cutlery
           Salt and pepper
           Wooden spoon
           Pot so George can "cook" the shoe
           Scarf to wrap around George's foot 

Hair and Makeup: Curl Chaplin hair 

                              Moustache for George
                              Dark shadows under George's eyes 
                              Shaggy beard for Marcus to look accurate to Big Jim

Setting: In the film, the setting is the inside of a log cabin. We'll use the spare classrooms in North as it has good space to film and has a table to use 

Start filming on Wednesday before Thursday
